HI. I'm in some sort of crazy Google loop where I've set up Google Talk/Hangouts, and a message states: Hangouts needs the Google Talk plugin to make calls. Install the Google Talk plugin.. I I've installed the plugin, and yet, Google keeps asking again and again for this. I've checked Safari preferences, and dug through Googles nooks and crannies. Can't find a button. Can't make this happen. Does anyone have advice?
Download Google Hangouts for Windows to message friends, start free video or voice calls, and hop on a conversation with one person or a group. Google Hangouts has had 1 update within the past 6. Meet Google Hangouts extension. It enables using Google Hangouts by just clicking on the extension icon. Additionally, when new messages arrive, a sound will play and extension icon will change. Go to hangouts.google.com or open the app from the sidebar in Gmail. Select a group to call from the Hangouts list or create a new group. At the top left of the group message window, click Video call. Hangouts automatically adds a Meet link to your message. Click Send to share the link and invite the group to the Google Meet video call. Install the Google Video Support Plugin to get started. To get the most out of Google Meet, use a modern browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari. Already available on Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge, Hangouts Meet is now available for version 13 of Safari and later. Shipped with macOS Catalina last year, Apple’s latest browser is also.
If anyone has a non-Google/non-Skype alternative for overseas calls, I'm all ears. This is bananas.
